What’s the biggest obstacle standing in your way of having a killer wardrobe? Most women would say money. This might surprise you, but that’s not true! Research shows that the average woman has nearly $6,000 in clothes, accessories, and makeup she doesn’t love and doesn’t use. Can you imagine going on a $6,000 shopping spree? Money is obviously not the solution for a lot of women. I’ve discovered that something else actually gets in the way of your dream wardrobe. And I want to help you get rid of it, so you can love the way you look. Where the wardrobe dilemma starts The fashion industry is really good at creating fashionable clothes—but not at supporting women’s true beauty. Every few months, the trends change and you’re supposed to switch out your current clothes for new styles. You’re also supposed to own certain wardrobe “basics” that you may not feel comfortable in, or even like! All these fashion rules support the industry, instead of the women wearing the clothes. That’s not right! I’ve suffered from feeling like I had nothing to wear. The problem wasn’t quantity, since I had a closet full of clothes, jewelry and accessories. The problem was that I had a closet full of clothes that were not right for ME and my unique type of beauty. I was settling and wasting a lot of money. Now I understand why I felt like I had nothing to wear. And now my closet is filled with clothes and accessories that I love. Your closet can be, too! Here’s how you can do it… Save your wardrobe (and your wallet) with the 3-3 game Your closet will tell you what’s not working… you just need to pay attention. Try this easy exercise and stop wasting money! Step 1: Items you love Pick out 3 items from your closet that you absolutely love. It doesn’t matter if they’re shoes, jewelry, accessories, or articles of clothing. They just need to be items you love and wear all the time. They should make you look and feel great every time you wear them. Step 2: Items you don’t wear Now pick out 3 more items. This time, choose items you rarely or never wear. They might be things you thought you loved, but you don’t really like now. Do you own items that you feel guilty for not wearing more often? Anything in your closet that’s technically a good investment—but you just never reach for it first? Those are good items to choose for this step. Step 3: The most important part Figure out which elements each group has in common. Do you love (or avoid) certain items because of the way they feel on your body? What about texture, color, or pattern? Write two lists: one list of which qualities make an item a favorite, and another list of which qualities describe the clothes that never make it out of the closet. Next time you go shopping, pay attention to those...

Where the wardrobe dilemma starts

The fashion industry is really good at creating fashionable clothes—but not at supporting women’s true beauty.

Here’s how you can do it…

Save your wardrobe (and your wallet) with the 3-3 game

Your closet will tell you what’s not working… you just need to pay attention.

Try this easy exercise and stop wasting money!

Step 1: Items you love

Pick out 3 items from your closet that you absolutely love. It doesn’t matter if they’re shoes, jewelry, accessories, or articles of clothing.

They just need to be items you love and wear all the time. They should make you look and feel great every time you wear them.

Step 2: Items you don’t wear

Now pick out 3 more items. This time, choose items you rarely or never wear. They might be things you thought you loved, but you don’t really like now.

Do you own items that you feel guilty for not wearing more often? Anything in your closet that’s technically a good investment—but you just never reach for it first? Those are good items to choose for this step.

Step 3: The most important part

Figure out which elements each group has in common. Do you love (or avoid) certain items because of the way they feel on your body? What about texture, color, or pattern?

Write two lists: one list of which qualities make an item a favorite, and another list of which qualities describe the clothes that never make it out of the closet.

Next time you go shopping, pay attention to those qualities in the clothes you try on.

No matter what’s trendy this season, you’ll be able to find clothes that fit in with your favorites. Don’t let fashion magazines talk you into anything. Trust yourself!

The ultimate key to wardrobe well-being

What if you could overhaul your wardrobe so that it was brimming with back-to-back gorgeous outfits that made you look and feel great?

What would it feel like to love every item in your closet?

The key is your Beauty Sixth Sense. And every woman’s got one.

Your beauty sixth sense is an internal voice that knows which styles are best for YOU. When you ignore it, you waste money and fill your closet with items that don’t highlight your natural beauty.

Getting back in touch with your beauty sixth sense is vital. But it can take a lot of trial and error. So I want to give you a shortcut:

Take my 3-minute quiz and get more tips to stop sabotaging your wardrobe (and your wallet).

The sad story behind this picture is far too common… I scratched it out of my seventh-grade yearbook because I truly believed I was ugly. I wasn’t ugly (wait ’til you see my after picture!), but that lie became embedded in my consciousness for decades—much longer than it ever should have. It’s a pretty typical experience, and very sad. But I didn’t stay there. During my many years as an alternative psychotherapist, I’ve seen firsthand the deep wounds that women experience because of their teenage beauty experiences and continual battles with their looks, weight, and self-acceptance. I’ve met women who continue to feel like I did back then. And that’s just not right! After seeing that my earlier painful experience was the norm for so many women, I was sure of two things: 1. How we feel about our outer appearance strongly influences our inner peace and confidence. 2. Women can’t all be as ugly as they feel they are. The problem isn’t women! So, what’s the real problem? I’ve identified 7 Fashion Dilemmas that can keep women feeling stuck and ugly. If you’re lost or getting by in any of these 7 areas, you can experience self-doubt, struggles with your weight, and emotional issues that affect every area of your life. Take a look at my picture. You can see what a difference it makes to be confident in every area! Which brings me to the quiz I’ve recently developed. Over the last decade, I’ve trained tens of thousands of women across the world to bring their natural beauty to the surface in a life-changing way. My quiz will show you whether you’re confident, getting by, or lost in any of the 7 Fashion Dilemmas. Along with your results, I’ll share some tips to help you skyrocket to beauty confidence. Take the quiz and share your results and thoughts here in a comment. Thanks for joining me today.

In your pursuit to look and feel great, you might believe you have to fit a standard that’s not actually best for you. Your version of best and someone else’s version of best might not match up. It’s good to aim high. But don’t ignore your true gifts and strengths or you might get stuck trying to be someone you are not. That’s what happened to Michelle. Here’s how she got out of it. Michelle’s Best, Before and After Michelle started her Dressing Your Truth journey after years of frustration, attempting to act and look like someone she was not. She tried to come across strong and tough hoping that it would give her more confidence. She didn’t understand why she readily gained weight and felt depleted so much of the time. When she discovered she was a Type 2 soft, subtle woman in my Beauty Profiling System, she felt the weight of the world lift from her shoulders. She came home to the power of her gentle, sensitive nature. She embraced her inborn intuitive gifts. She no longer wanted to look contrary to her true nature and she started Dressing Her Truth. As you can see in Michelle’s after photo, her naturally elegant quality of beauty is alive and honored. Notice the difference in her eyes and smile in her after photo. Her hair and clothes just support her true, natural beauty. These days, Michelle looks and feels her best all the time! What do you think of her makeover? Please leave a positive comment.
Too many women are trying to be someone they’re not. How do you know if you’re one of them? Why the True You Is Hiding We women have lots of expectations to live up to. Expectations that often come from ourselves! Women everywhere try to be the mother, sister, friend or wife they think they’re supposed to be. But that often means they hide the beautiful woman they’re naturally best at being! For example, a naturally subtle woman might try to be more bold. A bubbly woman might judge herself as too immature. A determined woman might try to tone down her personality. Why do you think the true you isn’t good enough? Beauty Profiling Reveals the Truth Stop hiding and express the true, beautiful you! My ground-breaking Beauty Profiling system describes 4 Types of beauty. These 4 Types naturally express themselves in a woman’s body language, facial features, behaviors, feelings and thought patterns. Beauty Profiling will help you see the truth about yourself and your beauty, so you can live free and confident as the true you. How Nathalie Discovered Her True Nature I want to introduce you to Nathalie, a beautifully bright, animated woman, who brought her true nature out of hiding with Beauty Profiling. Like many women, Nathalie tried to be someone she was not! She thought she had to tame her bright, bubbly nature to seem more grown up and mature. She shut down part of her true self that needed to be expressed! With some self-reflection and a look at her facial features, Nathalie found and embraced her true nature. Now she’s living and loving her Type 1 truth! Watch the video and hear how her experience can help you find your true self: Isn’t Nathalie fun? She’s so happy and confident, living true to herself. Leave a comment telling us what you think about her story.

Too many women are trying to be someone they’re not.

How do you know if you’re one of them?

Why the True You Is Hiding

We women have lots of expectations to live up to.

Beauty Profiling Reveals the Truth

Stop hiding and express the true, beautiful you!

How Nathalie Discovered Her True Nature

I want to introduce you to Nathalie, a beautifully bright, animated woman, who brought her true nature out of hiding with Beauty Profiling.

Watch the video and hear how her experience can help you find your true self:

I know the secret to helping every teenage girl out there to feel great about herself. It’s called Beauty Profiling. And it transforms a teenager’s experience with her body and self-image. What Teenage Girls Are Told to Think At the age of 12 or 13 (sometimes even younger!), what you wear and how you look suddenly become very important to most girls. It did for me. And teenage girls receive all sorts of messages about their bodies from a flawed fashion and beauty system. This system tells them they aren’t skinny or sexy or something enough to be truly beautiful. And it’s just not true! But if a teenage girl doesn’t know the truth about her beauty, she might believe what the fashion world tells her. It happens all the time. Ask almost any teenage girl what she would change about her appearance and she’ll tell you in a second. The Truth About Your Beauty Every teenage girl is beautiful. But most teenagers don’t know how truly beautiful they are. Every girl and woman expresses a unique quality of beauty in the way she looks, moves, acts, and thinks. My Beauty Profiling system explains these 4 Types of beauty. When teenage girls know their personal Beauty Profile, they recognize that features they judged as flaws are actually some of their greatest strengths. Beauty Profiling transforms the way a teenage girl sees herself, and starts her on a path to a practical fashion system that makes her look great and feel happier and more confident. And this changes her entire high school experience. And she believed some of her natural traits were weaknesses. But how many dollars have you invested in clothes or accessories that you bought… but don’t even like now? Our research shows that the average woman fills her closet with $6,000 to $10,000 worth of clothes, accessories, and makeup she doesn’t love and doesn’t use. But why do we women waste so much money—even when we’re trying to be frugal? Why would we spend so much money on clothes we don’t love? Buying clothes that you end up not loving or even liking has everything to do with your natural tendencies and preferences. Do you prefer to shop alone or with friends? Do you buy things on a whim or do you plan out your purchases? Those preferences say a lot about you, and will help you discover the real reason you fill your closet with things you don’t love.
Like I said in the video, your true nature shows up in everything you do, even in your shopping tendencies! My Beauty Profiling system will help you understand that there is no one “right” way to shop or express your true nature.

And there is not one “right” type of beauty! Beauty Profiling honors every woman’s beauty. When you learn how to Dress Your Truth according to your Beauty Profile, you tap in to your beauty sixth sense. That beauty sixth sense helps you shop true to your Type of beauty to create a closet full of clothes you love, and stop buying things that are just not right for you!

Do you know why you fill your closet with things you don’t love? Let’s look at the shopping tendencies that I talk about in the video of the 4 Types of Beauty in my Beauty Profiling system:

A bright, animated Type 1 woman

wants shopping to be a social experience, and loves trying things that look new and fun. She can let that turn into a challenge if she doesn’t buy items that work together or she gives her power of decision away to the person shopping with her.

A soft, subtle Type 2 woman

wants to feel comfortable, both in her clothes and interactions. She can let feelings of guilt or obligation toward the sales clerk who helped her get in the way of choosing what she really wants. Her closet can be full of clothes she’s embarrassed to take back.

A rich, dynamic Type 3 woman

is a practical, no-nonsense shopper who loves sales. That can get the best of her if she shops too fast to try things on or buys items just because they’re such a good deal. Do you have shirt hanging in your closet that you bought in every color?

A bold, striking Type 4 woman

enjoys simplicity but also doesn’t want to look like everyone else. She can sometimes end up believing that her bold look that everyone admires is actually too basic or simple. If she tries to switch it up too much, she can end up with pieces she doesn’t like.

Which tendencies describe you best? Would you like to improve your experience?

When you know your personal Beauty Profile, you learn your tendencies and how to work with them to create successful shopping experiences every time. When you start Dressing Your Truth, you know which clothes best honor your natural beauty—and you never stand in front of your closet saying you have nothing to wear.

My closet is filled with clothes and accessories that I love. Your closet can be, too!

Stop wasting money. And start Dressing (and shopping!) Your Truth. Find out how you can change the I-have-nothing-to-wear experience with your closet right now by taking my 3-Minute Beauty Confidence Quiz.

As I’ve worked with thousands of women over the years, I’ve come to a conclusion… Every woman wants to look and feel beautiful. Not superficially beautiful, or vainly beautiful. She wants to look and feel naturally beautiful. One of my biggest discoveries in working with hundreds of thousands of women around the world is that every woman is absolutely beautiful—inside and out! Most women are not able to express their outward, physical beauty because the fashion industry does not provide the tools and training that brings out the different Types of beauty women express. In fact, the industry even perpetuates a lie that makes it impossible for women to even know they are beautiful. What’s the Big Beauty Lie? As women, we have believed a lie that gets stirred up every time we step into a dressing room. The lie? You have to be skinny to be beautiful. It’s a lie that most women take on as reality when they are 12 or 13 years old. If you believed the lie, you’ve probably judged yourself according to it for years. It’s not your fault, though. The fashion and beauty industry perpetuate this lie. We see it on magazine racks and on billboards. And when we believe the lie is true, it hurts us as women, because we stop honoring the natural beauty we already have, no matter our size. And if you believe you have to be skinny to be beautiful, chance are, you’ll never think you’re skinny enough. The Truth About Your Beauty So, what’s the truth about your body? The truth is, you are beautiful! No matter your size? Do you believe that? I do. And I’ll tell you why. I have worked with thousands of women from all over the world. I have consistently seen, over and over with all the women I have worked with, that they each express their own unique beauty, inside and out. When they have the right tools to bring that natural beauty out, they always, always shine. If you believe you can’t be beautiful unless your skinny, this lie has gotten in the way of your beauty so much that it’s kept you from really seeking out how to look and feel naturally beautiful. Beauty has nothing to do with your weight. Let’s get rid of that lie today! How to Clear Away the Lie Every woman has a hidden beauty she’s not yet met. I experience great joy in helping women discover that beauty, no matter their age, size, or color. To discover your own true beauty, you need to clear away the lie you’ve carried in your thoughts and feelings—and especially in your body. You can stop believing that only skinny is beautiful. Beauty is beyond that! It’s easy to release that lie, just repeat after me: “I am no longer believing the I-can’t-be-beautiful-unless-I-am-skinny lie! I am now choosing to know that I am a beautiful woman inside and out!” To further help you release yourself from this lie,...

Think back on the last few compliments you received on your appearance. Chances are, there’s a difference between the compliments you get and the compliments you actually want. The Compliments You Get: Has anyone ever given you compliments like this? “I love your jacket.” “That is a great purse you have!” “Your shoes are so cute.” “Where did you get your shirt? It’s fabulous.” Start noticing what people focus on when they give you compliments. Do they notice you? Or just focus on your clothes? Is it possible that your clothes stand out more than you do? Consider the possibility that in the past when someone complimented you on your jacket, they saw your jacket, but not you! Why do your clothes take center stage? Because that’s the place they take in the fashion and beauty world. Every season, the fashion and beauty industry introduces new trends and styles. And no matter who you are or what you look like, you’re expected to wear them if you want to be fashionable. Some women focus on the trends. Other women get overwhelmed by them and give up. But either way, women are focusing on something other than their own, unique beauty when they get dressed in the morning. It’s not surprising that other people don’t focus on it either! The Compliments You Want: When was the last time you received compliments like this… “You look amazing.” “What have you done to yourself? You’ve never looked so good!” “Wow, you look so alive and vibrant.” “You look so beautiful.” “You are hot!” If you have not been hearing compliments like this, don’t blame yourself! You deserve to hear them. Every woman does. Why you should come first, and your clothes second In all the years I’ve worked with women, I’ve found that every woman wants to not only feel beautiful, but also look beautiful—not superficially beautiful and not even supermodel beautiful. Every woman just wants to look and feel naturally beautiful. You know you’ve really brought out your natural beauty when you start getting compliments that focus on you instead of your clothes. Learning how to use your clothes, accessories, hair and makeup as supports (not competitors) to your true beauty is the key to you being noticed and complimented, rather than what you are wearing. How do you do that? Take Back Your Beauty (and Your Compliments!) The fashion industry has not done a very good job of teaching the everyday woman how to bring her true beauty to life. It teaches a one-style-looks-good-on-every-woman approach. And when in-style clothes don’t look or feel good on you, you blame yourself! Together, we women spend billions of dollars a year on clothes and accessories that receive compliments while these same items may be hiding our true beauty. But every woman deserves to be beautiful, effortlessly and affordably. That’s where Dressing Your Truth comes in. It’s a supportive, easy-to-use fashion makeover system that reveals how beautiful you truly are and teaches you which clothes,...

Do you love everything about the shape of your body? If you don’t yet, you can. Let me show you how. What the Fashion Industry Thinks of Your Body Shape What would the fashion industry call your body? A pear, an apple, a ruler, an hourglass? Body shape analysis systems have been around for years. And most fashion and beauty books refer to them as the most important thing to consider when choosing clothes that are right for you. Those systems do a great job of helping a woman recognize her proportions. But they don’t do a great job of helping her recognize her beauty. Most systems out there will say that one shape is the best of them all. Only one! And the rest of the women? You, perhaps? Well, you hear words like “issues,” “problem areas,” “minimize,” and “hide.” These body shape systems treat the majority of women like they are inherently flawed and their clothes are supposed to hide the failure. No wonder so many women never feel truly beautiful! How could you possibly feel beautiful if you believe your body is a failure—just because of its natural shape? How Your Body Looks When You’re Dressing Your Truth Body shape systems are relevant and they provide us with useful tools to recognize the movement and balance of our bodies. But that’s where the usefulness stops. And so should we! Stop thinking your natural features are flaws! Stop wishing you had a different body! And start honoring and adorning the body that you have! Dressing Your Truth will help you do that. In my inclusive, supportive makeover system, you come first. Clothes, accessories, and hair come second, working together to highlight your true and natural beauty. Beauty comes in many sizes, colors, shapes, physical features, personalities, and movements of the body. I believe that every woman is beautiful, regardless of body shape. And it’s not just a positive mental attitude gimmick—women really do feel and look more beautiful when they follow our system! Check out our Before and Afters to see for yourself. How to Love and Honor Your Body Shape—Instead of Covering it Up There are a lot of variables involved in looking your best. My easy-to-use Dressing Your Truth online training system helps you honor your body’s natural movement by teaching you the 5 Design Elements that bring out and support your unique Type of beauty.
